The monument avenue statues features some noteworthy Virginians whose names I cannot remember. A shot of downtown across from the Capitol
Robert E. Lee statue in the Capitol building. The mace of the Confederacy and many other memorabilia are kept on display on the grounds. (Note: there is no such thing as a yard or a lawn in Virginia. They are known simply as 'grounds'.) The Houdron at the Capitol. The most prized rendition of George Washington. He posed for it (one of the few renditions he posed for). It was carved from a single slab of marble. The cane was not attached later: it was carved out of the single slab of marble.
A quick shot of part of downtown Richmond from 95.
