FALL FOLIAGE IN NORTHERN ILLINOIS
Most of these photos were taken around Oregon and Byron. The drive between Rackfuhrd and Dixon along the Rock's river on 2 is one of the most scenic I've ever taken for fall foliage. So at least this area does have some visual moments for a couple weeks out of the year.
Don't take this as me being overwhelmed: I spent most of my life in KS, 4% forested which makes it one of the 6 least forested states. Once you get south of Mendota I think Il is pretty similar.
